Breaking the News

Though hopeful, I was careful not to presuppose a positive pregnancy result for fear of an emotional letdown. So, when the life-changing news broke, we were completely unprepared for any type of announcement or declaration to those closest to us. Instead, Parker and I spent that glorious Friday afternoon relishing together in utter delight and postulating on the exciting things to come.

We waited a couple of days to share the news with our families and close friends which sent many concerned souls into a tailspin, expecting the worst. But, in the end, the accumulated anticipation made for a pretty awesome reaction or two.
