Life in Bloom

Life is in bloom all around us—growing, changing, progressing, shining, flourishing. Bloom is taking place every second of every day—even in life's tiniest details. The bloom we observe and create brings color and enjoyment to our lives. I am continually amazed at the potential for bloom around and within each of us.

Welcome to The Bloom Diary. My name is Stephanie. I am the lucky wife of the sweetest man, Parker. I fancy making and keeping traditions, asking questions and engaging in great conversation, reading recipes + planning menus, polka-dots and stripes, cooking and trying new restaurants, Valentine’s Day (and anything associated with love), travelling and discovering, the peace and grander of nature, getting lost in a good book, watching movies + buttery popcorn and M&Ms, anything ultra-feminine—lace, sequins, bows, high heels, lipstick—hubby time, friend time, photography, event planning, and creating—some of which I feature on my blog, Birchwood and Bloom. I love learning, and I have a laundry list of things I want to do and become—with mother topping that list.

However, like many women I know, I have been battling with infertility for several years. Observing the “bloom” in my everyday life has helped me to find joy and happiness amidst my struggle. This is my diary of life and (hopefully) motherhood in bloom. I hope you will join me in my journey, discovering the bloom that surrounds me and the untapped bloom within me. Perhaps you will discover a little bloom of your own along the way.
