Young Women

For the past 3 years I was fortunate enough to serve as Young Women’s President over a group of the most amazing youth at my church. While this calling was extremely demanding, it was equally as rewarding. It stretched me in ways I did not know I could be stretched, and evoked within me certain emotions I had never before recognized. I refined talents I did not know I possessed, grew in ways I did not realize I needed to grow, and came to a better understanding of who I am and who I want to be as a woman, mother, and friend.

The experience stirred within me a deep sense of the love a mother has for her children, and offered me a degree of peace, hope, and comfort during my struggle with infertility through the love and friendship of those I served and those I served with. What began as 1 single, stalwart young woman grew into many young women—each dear to my heart. With every new smile that came my way, my heart seemed to grow to capacity, recognizing each girl as a unique and special individual with a divine purpose. Their smiles, talents, successes, and love brought me tremendous joy. They were mine to love and cherish when I didn't have my own, and they will each remain fondly and forever in my heart.

  1. Beautiful. It's amazing how God uses us to do his work but we still get to share in the glory of it all.

  2. BTW I love your new design. I was just looking at your blog last night and it's changed since then. Its beautiful.
